It's a big place. The visitor is frist greeted by a large open-air lobby. And from there, everything opens up to hectares of water and cabanas.
Aside from the pools and the lagoons, there's the beach.
Footprints in the sand...
And to get around, you have these jeepney-like transportation to get on. Or you could rent bicycles if you wanted.
No, this one's not for public use... Just an amusing sticker, I thought.
It's not the ceiling at St. Peter's but the ambiance at the Italian restaurant, Palermo, was pretty good.
And their mint gelato was delicious!
Going home, we discovered a hitchhiker on the roof of the car.
Click on the title to go the website of Plantation Bay. I think overnight rates start at PHP7,000. Day trips are at PHP2,000. Pretty pricey...Labels: Picture it

Postrio, its name was. And it served bread and cookies and cakes and coffee and pasta and burgers too.
I only tried their breads and the ones I tried were pretty good. Here's their product display.
And their poster of a humongous burger... But when I asked about it, they said it wasn't really that big-- just for promo purposes, they said. And I suddenly craved for the big Bite Club cheese-y-you-can-feel-your-heart-palpitate-with-just-one-bite burger.

Look at the ceiling... amazing! And these hanging lamps-- ok, looks a little grade-five-project-ish.
And their table setting...
And their menu and by-line...
And here's where I apologize for not posting any food pictures because the two chicken pieces I had were big and delicious and it was under two-hundred bucks, I believe, and my officemates who were with me were also engrossed in what they were having that I completely forgot to take pictures. Anyway, I recommend and commend this restaurant. If you know where Bigby's is at at Megamall, leave a comment. :)Labels: Wherefore
Pictures of the ceiling and/or lighting fixtures. Check.
Complimentary cracklings. Check.
Waited a bit to be served our food. Check.
Food was ok. Check. Mmm, maybe an ok place to bring your wife or husband or partner to for a not-so-romantic date or maybe your family for a celebration of a graduation or birthday.
But for a romantic date, some other place. Hmm, maybe it's because it's at the Mall of Asia... or you just do romantic at a place where people have group or family dinners. Could be wrong.
To each his bowl of Chinese food.Labels: Wherefore
The ambiance was pretty solemn except when this one relatively old guy who probably has some psychological condition would almost shout the words to the rosary as he prayed. And he would move from bench to bench in between mysteries. Anyway, the mass started and the place was full of people from the surrounding posh villages of Corinthians and Valle Verde and Green Meadows, etc... And what was nice were their ushers who really went and looked for seating space in the front where people usually would stay away from and lead them there. The homily was the usual forgettable tale and lesson for everyone. The priest did try to make it a little lively. At least I think he did. Did he? Um, anyway...
So it was dark when I left and as I exited the parking lot there was a line of bargain stalls. It's a phenomenon, I believe. Either you put something extra to reel people in the Church or take the Church to the malls. If Jesus were alive now, would he picket the malls and kick down the stalls? Is it sacrilegious to ask something like that?Labels: A mass
And nice lighting. The balloons were a little looney though, I think. Was half expecting them in animal shapes.
But the food was "Aight, dawg." Nachos and burritos and tacos of course and cheese-y potato squares and quesadilla too.
For filling meals not too heavy on your budget... I have got to say this: "Think out of the bun!" There, I said it. :)Labels: Wherefore
